Getting ready for the NFL Draft....2610 viewsFrom an article featured in "SI on Campus", April 15, 2004 - After announcing his intent to turn pro following Miami's win over Louisville in the GMAC Bowl, Roethlisberger went agent-hunting. Or, more specifically, he became the hunted. He was deluged by dozens of agents, some more dubious than others, a few offering Roethlisberger "crazy amounts of money," he says, to represent him. Ultimately, he settled upon Leigh Steinberg and his associate, Ryan Tollner, on New Year's Day. Less than a week later Roethlisberger arrived in Newport Beach, Calif., to begin his metamorphosis from beefy, mid-major college stud to prototypical NFL quarterback. He moved into a furnished luxury condo on Jan. 5 and over the next two months did nothing, he says, but work out. "Southern California was a bit of a culture shock," he admits. "It seemed like all the cars were fancy and all the food was healthy. It was big, and things just seemed complicated."

Ben with the Hallsey's thank you Ben @_bigben7 just before tonight's game
In February of this year, young Tyler Hallsey was diagnosed with Pontine Glioma - a tumor surrounding the brain stem.. He had the opportunity to attend the game with his family.
It was a great night for Tyler, who also got to meet and pose with Brett Keisel and Troy Polamalu, the man whose jersey he is wearing!
From Tyler's father, Chris, via the site's Facebook page:

January 27, 2009 - Media Day1426 viewsAt one point, a little boy (with a pad and pencil and wearing a press pass around his neck) got Ben's attention and asked him how many plays he had to remember, and if they were all on his wristband:
"We have about 200 plays to remember and most of them are on there."
The little boy then asked, "Who was your hero growing up?"
"My dad. I wanted to be just like my dad. I still do."
He asked the little boy if he had any more questions which prompted a "Do you play Madden?"
"Do I play Madden? I play the college one, does that count? I don't like playing the NFL one, that's not much fun."
Then Ben had a question to ask the little boy, "Do you play Madden?" When the boy responded with a "yes", Ben asked him what his favorite team was to play. The boy said, "The Patriots." Ben's laughed and told him, "The Patriots are a good team!".
