Graduation Day - May 6, 201214097 viewsBen and Ashley pose just minutes after Ben received his diploma.
From USA Today:
Roethlisberger’s autumns have been kind of busy. And something always seemed to prevent him from enrolling in time for the winter term. AFC Championship Games, for instance.
But the Steelers were quick outs against Denver the past season and the morning after the defeat, his Miami academic advisor sent him an email. Roethlisberger figured it was a note of condolence. Instead, it was a call to class.
“He responded in less than 20 minutes,†said Melissa Chase, associate dean. “He never asked for a shortcut. It was always, ‘What do I need to do?’ He did everything we asked of him. I know this was always a very important goal for him.â€
What they asked of him at the end included a paper on Tibet. “Which I knew nothing about,†he said. Analyzing the New England defense was never like this. But luckily wife Ashley, with two degrees, makes a swell study buddy. He ended up with an A, and possibly more knowledge of Tibet than any quarterback in the NFL.

His Aunt Penny, a die-hard Steelers fan is converting her little nephew early - he is from Philly. She said it didn't take much to do - just put him in a Big Ben jersey and give him a Steelers horse and he was instantly converted! lol

May 11, 2022: Imagine walking a mile…412 viewsin THESE shoes….or maybe just displaying them in your Steelers man cave?!
Our friend Vincent Candelore, Jr. is back and back BIG – with these custom Big Ben shoes!
“It has been my dream for my entire life to do art full time and completely support my family in doing so. Because of the support from all of the people who interact/follow/purchase art from me it has become reality. And it’s so amazing that I get to paint people like Ben and other Steeler legends that shaped such a huge part of my life! My client wanted a tribute to both Ben’s early career and the later, heading-to-the-HOF Ben!†— Vincent.
Yeah, you definitely nailed the tribute!

April 25, 2015 - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Dauch Indoor Stadium & Ben Roethlisberger Field1377 viewsWith the skies opening up over Yager Stadium, Miami fans were quickly introduced to the Dauch Indoor Sports Center on Saturday, April 25th.
The RedHawk faithful gathered inside the newest jewel of Miami Athletics for the DISC Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, which featured speeches from Director of Athletics David Sayler, President Dr. David Hodge, Miami alum and Pittsburgh Steelers star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, Miami alum and Super Bowl winning Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh, Miami alum and lead DISC contributor David Dauch, Miami soccer captain Haley Walter and Miami football defensive back Heath Harding. Those speakers eventually gave way to the official ribbon cutting for the facility before transitioning to the football team’s spring scrimmage.
As the downpour continued outside, fans surrounded the RedHawks as they went through their various drills on Ben Roethlisberger Field. The 14-period scrimmage included several 11-on-11 sessions that gave the MU faithful a promising glimpse into next fall....
