Veterans Day Weekend - 2012867 viewsFiring away on the M240-B, SSgt Kevin Spaulding is a die hard STEELERS fan. His targets for this occasion were paper targets of Baltimore Ravens logos. I have it on good authority that once he was done firing, there was nothing left of those Ravens!!!
"Another division title in the future! Let's get to 7th heaven!!! HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO!!! Photo was taken at Quantico Marine Corps Base in Virginia. Shout out to the 459th Air Refueling Wing! Security Forces Huuuah!!" -- Kevin Spaulding

Veterans Day Weekend - 20121033 viewsThis is a photo of my buddy, Joshua Robert Maurer with my daughter Taylor Heath from a Blue Angels air show in Jacksonville, FL.
We were fortunate enough to gain access to the runway at NAS Jax and snap a pic against the Blue Angels!
Joshua is stationed at NAS Mayport (also in Jacksonville) in the U.S. Navy.

November 11, 2020 - Ben's Veteran's Day Salute312 viewsI am so blessed to have had an amazing role model throughout my upbringing. As a kid, I saw him as just an amazing athlete and winner, which is what I needed at the time. As I’ve matured into a young adult, I now understand how great a Christian, husband, father, and leader he is. And as a 23 year old, that is the type of role model I need in my life.
I want to thank Mr. Roethlisberger, and his beautiful family, for the work (on and off the field) they’ve done for the city, and the standard they’ve set for all families across the country.
As for me, I’m sure you’ve heard it a million times but I truly don’t think of my duty as anything heroic. I just enjoy what I do for a country that I love.
I would like to add a BIG THANK YOU to my dad, LTC (Ret.) Tom Clarke, for his many years of service in the U.S. Army.â€
God Bless and Go Steelers,
Logan Clarke

Veterans Day, 2013999 views"I was a Platoon Leader, stationed in Kandahar, Afghanistan from 2012-2013. My Platoon mostly did walking patrols throughout the city, and I made sure my Terrible Towel was tucked in my cargo pocket on every one. By the end of my tour, both my Soldiers and my Afghan counterparts were accustomed to when I pulled a security halt to get a photo of my Terrible Towel in different parts of the city. My Towel has accumulated quite a bit of the Afghanistan desert sand, but it now proudly hangs in my living room and will go with me the next time I get to go home to Pittsburgh and see the Steelers play!" -- 1LT Megan Conroy, 2nd Platoon "Wolfpack" / 563rd MP CO (Fort Drum, NY).

1996 viewsFrom U.S. Army veteran Noah Galloway via twitter to @_BigBen7:
"It's a great feeling when Roethlisberger introduces himself to you and thanks you for your service. Great guy! It was incredible to have him come up to me...I really appreciated it! "
Noah had just completed the White Sands Missile Range 23rd Annual Bataan Memorial Death March in New Mexico, and was on his way home to Alabama when he met Ben at the airport. Noah and his team, TEAM X-T.R.E.M.E completed the 26.2 mile march wearing 47lb packs and gas masks.
Thank you so much to Noah!

PFC Steven Landa, U.S. Army991 views"Hello there! My name is Steven Landa, I am 19-years old and in the U.S. ARMY. I first saw Big Ben play when he took over for Tommy Maddox in 2004 - it was my first season watching football. I instantly became both a Steelers fan and a Big Ben fan.
I know he must be going through a lot right now with all the criticism but I truly believe Ben has more than what it takes to make it to the top 5 QB's. Not a lot of fans might know this about Ben, but I know there is this poem called, "Don't Quit" that Ben reads before a game. That poem actually helped me not to give up during basic training.
I also don't mind waking up at three in the morning to watch the Steelers play, win or lose! I have been a huge Steelers fan since '04." -- PFC Steven Landa,Charlie Battery 1-43 ADA, U.S. Army.

Ben's 2018 Veterans Day Salute 417 views...….is to Marine Corps veteran and Steelers fan Greg Yakubik (afterall, it IS the same weekend as the Marine Corps Birthday!):
“I joined the United States Marine Corps on November 7th, 1999 and was sent to Parris Island, South Carolina for basic training. After graduating from basic, I did infantry training in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. After my training, I was sent to Camp Pendleton, California for my permanent duty station where I spent 4 years. My unit was sent to Australia to do training with Australian forces, then on to Etajima Island Sasebo, Japan; Nagasaki and Okinawa, Japan. In 2003, my unit was sent into Iraq. We were the first unit to cross the border into Baghdad, which was on St Patrick’s Day. My unit took down Baghdad on April 11th.†-- Greg Yakubik.
