"He has a very unique love and understanding for the game of football. He has played football since he was 4 years old for our towns Jr-Pro Pee Wee football team. There are very few 4 year olds that make it through football at this age. This past year was his 4th year to play. He got the HONOR of being the quarterback for his team this past year."

Garrett scored 25 touchdowns in just 9 games.

"I did ask him before typing this who he looked up to the most," Tammy continued. "His first answer was Big Ben and to my surprise, his second answer was his big brother, Tyler. His older brother is 10 and he too has played since he was 5. Tyler and his team has won the Super Bowl in our Tri- County organization for the past 3 years in a row. Ben, his brother-in-law Brent Harlan, friends Nick Sampson and Tyler Hock, and the Primal Instinct crew on a goose hunt outside Hershey, PA.

The group was hunting with Final Pass Outfitters. Nick and Tyler are film producers whose most recent work is on the popular hunting show "Primal Instinct" on Versus. Ben was a guest hunter last year on the show.

"We met Ben at the 'Players Welcome Party' for the 2012 Pro Bowl at their hotel. I went up and introduced myself, told him I was in the Marine Corps, I gave him a coin and he was very cool. He is a great person and took the time out to talk to us. Very professional guy!! Not only did I get to go to this party, but I had field passes to the practices and the game and Big Ben was the biggest hit of them all. So many Steeler fans there, it was CRAZY! But he took the time to go and sign for them, even when the bus was about to take off, he stayed out there for a few more minutes, way too cool. He signed everyoneâ€™s items and chatted with people â€“ he even played catch with some younger fans! I took some pictures and was able to get this one â€“ I thought it was hilarious and showed a playful/laid back side of him! This actually might have even been his birthday now that I think about it because we all sung 'Happy Birthday' to him!" -- Shawn.
