In memory of Grant Seward544 viewsAt age 22 my son Grant (wearing Ben's jersey) was the biggest fan that Ben and the Steelers could ever have! On Nov 2, 2011 he died.
In his short life he had converted many northern KY families from Bengals to Steelers fans. He would drive hundreds of miles to be in Heinz Field on game day and even to the Superbowl. He loved the Steelers more than anything. He had the Steelers emblem tattooed on his upper arm, banners on the house, Steelers lounge chair, Steelers jerseys, jackets, t-shirts, pants, sheets, pillows, truck emblems, steering wheel and hitch cover, and on and on. It was who he was.
His dream was for me to attend a game at Heinz Field which we had planned to do this year in December against the Bengals. My work schedule had prevented me from attending in the past even though I had wanted to very much. Last night the Steelers played the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium. Me and my girls went in our Steelers gear in memory of their brother Grant.
Just wanted to thank Ben and the Steelers team for that awesome win. It was such a tribute to my son who I know was there in spirit with a big smile on his face.

April 5, 2008 - Second Annual Ben Roethlisberger Challenge1670 viewsPhotos & Story by Trish:
When they announced the guys on Ben's team they gave their bios/accomplisments..etc. When it came to Ben..the list was so long that Ben started laughing and told them to stop.
Then, one of the guys on his team had the announcers say he (guy on team) was a "self proclaimed point guard star" and was beefing himself up to be better than Ben (jokingly)..well when game started Ben got ball to him and the guy missed..he joked to Ben that he thought Ben was on point and Ben laughed and said " I thought you were were the point guard star..isn't that what you said"..or something to that effect ..everyone cracked up. Luck o' the Irish!648 viewsJune, 2012: Ben poses with James Hurley (left) and Jeremiah Buckley at Charlie Foley's Pub in Killarney in County Kerry, Ireland.
"I was quite shocked when he came in as I have one of his jerseys at home, but I couldn't go home to get it signed because I was working. Thank you so much! We have the picture framed in the bar and it is a real hit with all Americans who visit us. Just a pity we couldnt get it signed, that would have been magical!" -- James Hurley
And from the management at Charlie Foley's Pub via Twitter on Ben's visit:
"What a gentle giant! [Came in] to the pub and couldn't be nicer. We have his picture on our wall, he is our adopted hero! We wish him the luck of the Irish!"

December 30, 2012 - Bella meets Ben!785 viewsOur first story comes from Bella Tomko. She met Ben last night while he and his lovely wife, Ashley were dining at Ichiban Hibachi Steakhouse. Bella tweeted the photo that Ashley took of her posing with Ben along with a thank you to him for being “so niceâ€!
From Bella:
I went up to him and said, “Excuse me, are you Ben Roethlisberger?†(just to make sure it was really him! and he said yes. I felt so bad for interrupting him at dinner, but I congratulated him on the great game he had played earlier and asked him if I could take a picture with him. He said, “Yeah, of course!â€. His wife took the photo for me, she was very nice as well. I thanked him so much and he said, “No problem! I hope you have a great new year!â€.
Most athletes aren’t that nice to people who interrupt their night. Thank you Ben! (2 votes)
